- There is a perceived advantage the Jews have by having the Law given to them
- However, we see here that Paul tells us that all man has sufficient Law given to him already in the Law written on his heart.
- If man were able to follow this Law perfectly, he would be saved, but no man other than the God-man Christ could do such a thing
- So instead, Jew and Gentile alike must be saved by circumcision of the heart and become a Jew inwardly
- Meaning we all must rely upon the perfect work done by Christ
- Rather than rest in any outward righteousness of our own
- To truly be circumcised of heart and show we rest in Christ, we must be repentant and seek the glory found in Christ
- And so we again see there is no longer a distinction between Jew and Gentile, for we all must have the inward circumcision of faith, given to us only by God's providence.
