- 1 to 1 1/2 cups raw cashews, soaked for 6+ hours
- 4 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened plain almond milk (or your favorite) or water
- juice of 1 small lemon or 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- salt and pepper (seasoning)
- umami-inducing spices
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor
- Blend until it starts to get smooth
- Taste
- Spice
- Season
- Repeat steps 3 through 5, until desired
